Hi,

The new git repository is now containing the updated code. It is mirrored in sourceforge and github, being the main one on gitorious.

As the ongoing work on the merge, now the product editor is working fine with the new features.  You can see a screenshot:

mailing list, trac and releases

April 3, 2009 1 comment

I have released 0.7.1 and 0.7.2 and do not post about. These versions fixes a couple of bugs reported by users, there is a new release coming soon with another fixes.

I have setup a mailing list for lemonpos in sourceforge, the list info page (for subscription) is here:mailing list

Also, I decided to use trac instead of tracker for bug reports and feature requests. Of course trac also provides a timeline view -from svn commits-, roadmap and source -svn- browse. For bug reports and feature request create new tickets. Go trac

And of course, the wiki is here.To edit the wiki, you need to be a sourceforge user -registered- (i have not test it with another account, someone comfirm this), i cannot enable edit for anonymous -sourceforge limitation-.

Hello everybody.

I was curious about lemonpos around the web, so i ask google. It was a surprise for me to find a lemonpos0.6.1 package for opensuse at rmp pbone. It was known that (k)ubuntu already added lemonpos to their universe repo (even for jaunty).

Now, im working on new features, wait a 0.7 version soon.

Code cleaning completed

August 16, 2008 Comments off

Some days ago I finished the code cleaning and revision, for at least the data access code, and general code revision. As a result, i found and fixed some minor bugs, and added new code here and there. Squeeze got a new navigation menu to make it  look better, this is a transitional change in order to make it more usable and look beautiful, now it uses a third-party (gpl’ed) widget, until I implement my own navigation menu I want.

These changes will be available in the SVN repository as version 0.6 in a few days, but not in the tar’ed source code file in sourceforge downloads until i package it and analize gpl ver 3.

New Lemon look!

February 26, 2008 Comments off

Hi there,

I have been testing a new look for lemon main window (selling) that reduces the space waste, and makes look clearer. This fixes the oversized window when selected a product with a big photo (128px) on a screen with 800 pixels in height (my laptop).

I have not tested in ahother resolution. Of course it still will cause the oversize of the window, which makes unusable the software (some part of the window can’t be seen). An alternative is to hide the photo for such resolutions, the next workaround to code.

You can see the screenshot of this new look below. Of course, the new look is in the svn only.

A bug on oxygen style affects lemon

February 3, 2008 Comments off

Since some weeks i noted that oxygen (widget) style has a bug/feature that prevents applications paint a background on, at least, kdialogs/qdialogs/qframes by applying a qstylesheet style. This makes login window and password dialog to see ugly.

I noted this since kde version 3.97. Thats the reason i still use kde 3.96 on my computer. Of course all screenshots and test were done with kde 3.96.

I told this on #oxygen channel at irc.freenode.org, but got no responses. I will try again later.

UPDATE: I was told that with kde 4.0.1 the bug is gone.
UPDATE: I try myself kde 4.0.1 and the bug/feature is still present.

New feature

January 21, 2008 Comments off

The most recent feature added to squeeze, the administration module, is a purchase action.

The purchase action let the administrator/owner to add products to the stock and keep a trace of purchases with its details.

Here is a screenshot of such action:

Squeeze making a buy.

The procedure is simple,

  1. click on the purchase button
  2. Type a product code. If it already exists, its information will be shown; you can modify it at your desire.
  3. Then you must enter the purchased quantity
  4. Type the profit margin to calculate the public price, and if the product is boxed, you can enter the number of items per box and the price per box to calculate individual item’s price.
  5. Then click “add item” to add it to the pruchase list.
  6. Here you can go 2 for another product.
  7. Finally, click “Ok” button to process the pruchase.

Presentation

January 19, 2008 Comments off

Lemon is at developing stage. Here you can follow the current developing process and see what’s new.

Lemon has two modules or executables:

  1. lemon: which is the selling module.
  2. squeeze: which is the adminisitration module.

At the administration module, squeeze, you can edit, add and delete products as well as users, clients, promotions, measures and categories.

lemon, the selling module, supports ticket printers, but it is tested only with a Star Micronics SP500 parallel printer.

Both modules, are localized, which means that can be translated to any language. Currently its translated to spanish, french, and chinesse, but the spanish translation is the only 100% translated.

All information is located in a database, for this purpose we use mysql.
